Yes, but he's a mixed breed. APBT and probably some sort of pointer.
Socialization for my dog.
I'm an aerospace engineer at work, an oceanographer at USC and an animal rescuer in my free time. I've volunteered with wild sea lions and seals, and did some feral kitten rescue for the local humane society. Rudy is my first pitbull mix, but I've had a shepherd mix, a purebred doberman (dumped on my family farm in NY), a blue tick coonhound mix and a black lab (rescued- not purchased) in the past. I adopted Rudy from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter. Animal Control found him living on the streets. I don't know what happened to him there, but I do know that he learned to open bottles of water and developed a taste for soda during this time. He is very, very sweet, but sometimes a little scared of things. The behaviorist classified him as "very, very soft". Rudy attends obedience class once per week, and we are going to join agility class as soon as he's ready. We'd like to join LARPBO to ensure that Rudy remains a well-adjusted guy.

I'm Kelly, and I recently adopted my pitbull mix, Rudy, from the Baldwin Park County Shelter. After having Rudy for only 2 days, he came down with a full-fledged case of parvo. It just shows that he's as much a survivor as he is a sweetie.
