I am Walter Martinez, the current president for the Robotics Society of Southern California - check our website meetings with videos and descriptions here http://www.rssc.org/m...

I have attended a few LA Robotics Club meetings before and have enjoyed them.

I would like to invite you to our meetings on the second Saturday of every month: http://www.rssc.org/c...

We have been around since the 1980's, I have been a member since 1992. It is free to come to the meetings. Our format is classes before the main meeting, business meeting, competitions and then a show a tell session. We meet from 10am to about 3:30 pm on the second Saturday of every month at the computer engineering/science building at Cal State University, Long Beach. We have people coming from San Diego, Covina, Riverside, South Bay LA and many other areas.

I used to be involved in competing in Battlebots, Robotics and Robotwars, judge several competitions including Lego First League at Legoland plus have built robots for a couple of tv shows and been involved in the hobby since I was 8yrs old. I've built a ton of different robots that never get completed (this should be a common thing amongs you all!)

Our current club project is the AI based Leaf Project http://www.leafprojec...

We have about 40 to 50 members that show up every month, lots of competitions and people with many expertise levels.

You can join our Yahoo mailing list http://tech.groups.ya...

The Riverside Robotics Society is also associated with us - check the meetup here:
