Griffith Park Trek - Get Started Meetup!

Let's meet at 6pm at the trail entrance on Commonwealth Avenue. This meetup is ideal for beginners to get familiar with one of the easier trails in the park. Everyone is welcome! The trail is mostly sandy dirt but includes an asphalt surface at the entrance.

This trek is 45 minutes but can be extended to 1 hour 15 minutes for those who want a longer walk. The trail is a loop so you will return to the trailhead entrance on Commonwealth Avenue.

The trek includes a moderate incline but mostly flat trail. Enjoy city views, native plants, birds and hillside terrain. Part of the trail overlooks the Greek Theatre and Griffith Park Observatory.

Comfortable walking shoes and water bottle recommended.
