This is an exploratory posting, just to gauge interest. The trail goes from Mason park in Harrisburg all the way to Brays Bayou park by Bissonnet/Gessner. It's probably about 25 miles each way and a mix of dirt, asphalt and concrete trails with the occasional bit of road connecting sections. We'd have to come up with a decent plan for it since it is a long ride that will involve at least a couple of stops to resupply water and maybe lunch along the way. This is not road bike territory, but probably not quite suited for full-blown MTBs either. Probably better to tackle it on a MTB rather than a road bike, though, because of the dirt/mud sections. I'm not used to these gravel-grinder sort of outings, so I can't even estimate how much time 50 miles would take, but my guess is almost 6 hours once you factor in breaks and lunch. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I dislike the thought of doing it alone, but if no one else is up for it . . .
