This is a meetup group for longboarders (and people wanting to learn to longboard) of all skill levels, riding styles, ages, and lifestyles.  We are based out of the Lake Union Park, but we carve all around the Seattle area.

I've been longboarding for several years for fun and transportation. As a recent transplant to Seattle, I fell in love with Lake Union Park the first time I rode it and instantly thought it would be the ideal spot for a longboarding meet-up.  It has a surplus of winding, immaculate new sidewalks; low foot and bike traffic; and a great lake front location in the shadow of the Seattle skyline.

The purpose of this group is to bring together longboarders of all skill levels and provide a safe and welcoming opportunity for sharing, learning, and above all riding with friends! 

Once we reach critical mass, some ideas I have are to provide a "community quiver" of boards that people can try, borrow, and/or rent to own. I'd also like to see us provide lessons, lunch hour rides, games/competitions, and advocacy for longboarding in the Seattle area.

This group is inclusive of people of all skill levels and walks of life.
