For over 50 years, Lake Shore Unitarian Society has brought people of diverse beliefs together in an open-minded community.
Our weekly services are not led by clergy. Instead, we invite highly regarded speakers to present on a wide range of topics that provide inspiration and deeper appreciation for the world we live in.
Rather than focusing on a particular doctrine, we embrace values shared by the world’s major religions and a set of principles that include justice, peace, compassion, and the inherent worth of every human being.
Music is another source of spiritual inspiration in our weekly services. And our Religious Explorations program provides children and teens spiritual and cultural literacy they need in this increasingly interdependent world.
Some in our congregation were raised Unitarian. Many others are from a Christian or Jewish background. Some are part of an interfaith marriage or family, while others have never been affiliated with a church at all. Whatever your spiritual background, there’s a place for you and your family in our close-knit community.
