Tell us a little about yourself!

I have been organic gardening since childhood and grew up on a 75 acre homestead in Mt Vernon . We used a humanure toilet and lived with no power. We cooked on the woodstove and had gravity fed water from a spring. We built our home with stone from the stonewalls. We used kerosine lanterns and heated water with he woodstove. Big gardens and macrobiotic diet cultivated a love of healthy eating. I attended an alternative free school as a child that I loved dearly. I could walk to school. Creating a space of love permaculture homestead for my family has been a goal of mine for many years. We purchases our land in Stonham is 2011. It is a joy to live In Nature. I am learning to drive the excavator as we are Sepp Holtzer style farming on mountainous terrain. We have a stream and natural pond near the house. Our home is 481 square feet and we have 2 daughters so it is a tight fit of simple living. We have plans to build greenhouses another house next to the little one to add livin space.

What would you like to learn about?

Building a natural grey water system and natural bee keeping.

We live in Stoneham on a 129 acre permaculture farm boardering conservation land with streams and ponds coming out of the mountain. We live in an Earth berm house with a living roof with solar power, humanure toilet and wood stove heated hot water.
