What is a radio net?
Basically, it is a meeting over the radio with a net controller who presents a particular subject for discussion and invites other licensed radio operators to have a conversation on topic. Net's can run regularly every week or each night, or just periodically. They can range from just a few people to many radio operators listening and/or checking in.
It has been suggested time and time again that Land Ops should conduct a NET. This will not only help to answer any questions new members might have, and help members get to know one another before actually meeting, but it will also help to generate interest with like minded radio operators listening in.
I would be happy as your Chief game tactician and the founder of Land Ops to start the first net and turn it over to others who would like the opportunity to conduct the net.
As always emergency radio traffic has priority so please follow the net controller and check in when your call sign is called.
