On Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM ($5 per child) Barb Tincknell, a meetup member who is studying to become a Certified YogaKids trainer, will offer this class. This month we have a little prize to offer each child that participates. So come out and have some fun!
YogaKids is more than just yoga, it incorporates fun and movement with learning and helps the child to be calmer, more focused and happier. Children naturally respond to learning that is presented in interesting, fun and integrative ways. Research has shown that learning can increase by up to 90% when language and movement are connected.
YogaKids was inspired by Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory as the model to create positive experiences in the learning process. Using 14 YogaKids Elements created by Marsha Wenig, the program teaches a complete form of exercise, as well as encourages the inclusion of language and creative arts, reading, writing, science, music, ecology and health.
My mission is to teach children to love and respect themselves and others and to know that they are capable of doing anything they want to do. YogaKids is designed to reinforce a child's belief in their innate ability to learn, improve and succeed. YogaKids honors and educates the whole child by addressing their body, mind, spirit and creating a sense of connection to the world around them.
Bring your child to a fun filled hour!
