Adventure Stories are about action and conflict. There is simply no way to get a reader's pulse racing better than a well-written action scene. Yet, how do you put that action down on paper and not only make it believable, but enjoyable and exciting to read? Understanding when and how to use physical conflict in your story is all well and good. But, how to write it? How do authors paint such a vivid, action-packed fight scene that readers can "see" in their mind using only the written word? Join award-winning author Maxwell Alexander Drake as he brings you deep inside the violence, breaking it down piece by piece, and giving you some tricks you can use to create more realistic and exciting fights.
We will be devoting the December class to discussing the business of publishing. Agents, Editors, Publishers, Marketing, Contracts, etc. will all be discussed. This session will have ample time for Q&A as well. So, if you have questions about the business side of things, this will be your chance to get answers. There is no handout for this class, just come well stocked with whatever questions you have about this crazy industry!
