Not currently, though I am set up to do so. I have 3 computer monitors, a quiet home office, upgraded memory, highspeed internet, a backup laptop, what I *think" is a decent chunk of money to start with, a realistic attitude and lots of support from my family and friends. Trying to learn as much as I can before using my assets by joining a day trading group and reading everything I can find. Curious about different trading strategies, platforms, which market indicators to look at, what to look at when choosing a stock and best VSE's to use for practice.
Pretty much just general questions about day trading. As mentioned previously, I used to be a Licensed Retirement Planner at a couple of large Discount Brokerage firms, so I have all sorts of experience on that side of the financial business, but equity trading and brokerage products were a different ballgame. I was licensed to handle them but my job function within the company prohibited it at the time. I would like to be a part of general discussions about the subject so I can become familiar with lingo, etc and hopefully gain some insight on doing this for a living. Trying to learn as much as I can up-front to hopefully minimize gigantic beginner mistakes.
New to Vegas: just moved here in Feb from Dallas! Was a Retirement Planner with a couple of large brokerage firms prior to mkt crash. I'm looking to expand upon my industry experience & learn more abt day trading in my personal accounts.
