Latin Dancing - Toronto Harbour Cruise

Hi Cruisers,

My objective is to schedule some great Latin dancing meetups... on the water! We are arranging fun, safe, affordable Salsa cruises. You can expect an intelligent crowd, lots of good conversation, and great fun on the two inside dance floors. Alternatively, you can dance out on the open deck under the stars, with a cool breeze and the beautiful Toronto skyline or Toronto Island in sight.

When the spring and summer months hit there is nothing quite like discovering Toronto's beautiful waterfront from a new perspective. Treat yourself and your friends to a fun, exciting and picturesque boat cruise unlike any other on the Enterprise 2000, socialize and dance to Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha Cha, and other styles like Kizomba.

Status

I have exceeded 200 ticket sales for the Harbour Cruise from many different meetup groups... and will limit the number of passengers because I want to ensure room to move on the dance floors!

The DJ - Frank Bishun

I am pleased to announce that I have recruited Frank Bishun (DJ for Alley Katz and Marlowe’s) for the Harbour Cruise, so the music will be great! Also, Frank is an instructor, choreographer, and performer so he is multi-talented and knows his music. From his first audition over 25 years ago, Frank has dedicated his life to music and dance. Try him out at Alley Katz Monday nights and you will see what we mean about his ability to spin great music.

Salsa Instructor – Maria Paul

Maria Paul teaches at Fregata and is a professional Latin and Ballroom dance instructor at Love at First Dance. She comes with great reviews and years of experience in teaching Latin and Ballroom. Maria’s passion for dance and teaching dance have taught her the right skills and technique to insure that her students look and dance to the best of their individual abilities while keeping her lessons fun and enjoyable. Maria takes great pride in transforming her students into the best social dancers that they can be.

Kizomba Instructor - Felipe Palleros

Felipe instructs Kizomba at Toronto Dance Salsa school and continues his mission to spread Kizomba love all over! In 2013 he fell in love with Kizomba and has been training and teaching non-stop. He has been teaching and choreographing for the Toronto Kizomba Squad who performed Kizomba at the Canada Salsa Congress, The International Bachata and Kizomba Congress, the Toronto Kizomba Festival and many more local and international events. Felipe was also champion of the Bachata amateur division at the 2013 Toronto Bachata Festival.

Performance - Latin Energy

Vanessa Stay’s Latin Energy school is providing a Latin dance performance. Latin Energy is internationally recognized for their unique performance style and love for salsa and the Latin culture. Latin Energy dancers offer their audiences the best in entertainment and proudly represent Canada’s dancing talent wherever they perform. Latin Energy is proud to be the Dec. 2015 & 2014 World Latin Dance Cup Champions in several divisions!

When you RSVP, you'll be asked to pay using PayPal. Once you pay, Meetup will give you the option to print your ticket and ticked ID for the event. Please bring this ticket with you to the event.

Evening Schedule

• 7:00 PM - Begin Boarding

• 8:00 PM - Begin Cruise

• Midnight - Return to Dock

• 12:30 AM - Leave Ship

Recommended Dress

Dress to impress. We are providing an upscale casual event. Guys, polish up your dancing shoes. Ladies, get that little black dress out.

• Parking on the street is free. If you decide to park inside the marina, they will charge handsomely for this privilege.
