Lean Startup 102: Lessons from Startup Weekend

Details
While a successful product is always the ultimate validation, jumping into implementation can easily lead to building something no one wants. That doesn't mean you can't get started, however.
In celebration of Startup Weekend (http://charlottesville.startupweekend.org), Arin Sime (@arinsime) will be discussing how to begin validating your ideas and assumptions RIGHT NOW. Also Ben Taitalbaum (@coshx) will lead a case study discussion on utilizing Lean Startup techniques in the real world.
We'll kick things off at 6:30pm with light snacks and socializing. The program will kick-off about 6:50pm.
Arin Sime is the founder and CEO of AgilityFeat. Arin is an experienced IT leader with over 15 years of experience as a developer, Agile Coach, trainer, project lead, architect, and entrepreneur.
Ben is the founder of Coshx Labs, a distributed software consultancy with employees in six States, and offices in Charlottesville, Boulder, and San Francisco. He enjoys splitting his time between a maker’s schedule (mostly ruby on rails and javascript lately) and a manager’s schedule (product development and training agile teams), which gives him a unique perspective into the trade-offs between development and business decisions. He loves working with startups because of the fast pace of development and problem solving, but also enjoys working with well-established teams to find ways to increase code quality and morale.
