Topic:
Insights from conducting Lean Startup trainings and from coaching larger organizations in adapting and applying the Lean Startup method
Abstract:
In this 30-minute talk, David will share insights from his experience as a lecturer, trainer and consultant applying the Lean Startup method in larger organizations.
At the University of Applied Sciences Lucerne (HSLU), he led Switzerland's first Lean Startup Training based on Steve Blank's LeanLaunchpad class structure. As the head of the master module "Business Design" of the Master of Science in Business Development and Promotion, he taught how to iteratively test, change and improve innovation projects and business ideas. The goal of this module is to let experience why and how the lean startup methodology will considerably improve the success of innovation management efforts. The participants benefited considerably from altering and refining their innovation projects and business ideas week by week in a structured and transparent way.
As a consultant and coach, David helps to improve the success rate of complex innovation projects based on the lean startup philosophy. Furthermore, he helps larger and established organizations introduce and adapt the lean startup method to their specific environment and needs. In his presentation, David will talk about his experiences and the respective advantages and hurdles of using Lean Startup in established organizations.
