About the Instructor:
Karen Roughton has been involved in the art communities of Sacramento and Davis for more than 40 years graduating with a master's degree in drawing and painting from California state University, Sacramento.

She has been teaching art for over thirty years at American River College. She has had numerous exhibitions of her artwork and for the past 12 years has been a member of The Artery in Davis.

Her teaching style stresses encouragement, lots of one on one instruction and support for visual expression.
