So you want to make a game?

Whether you played chess as a kid, Pick-Up Sticks growing up, geo-caching just because you could, or became a hardcore online multiplayer gaming enthusiast; gaming to some degree is in all of our hearts. Games and gamification have been bringing people together since time immemorial.

After a brief introduction to Game Design, attendees will build a complete game with characters, environment, and interactive items. You'll also learn to use our drag-and-drop script editor to bring game objects to life - no coding required!

Once everybody is happy with their game we will publish them to Gamefroot.com where you can share them with your friends, and we'll see what it's like having your game running on a phone.

By the end of this exciting and fun filled workshop participants will have created their first HTML5 game.

This lesson is for people already curious about game development that want to go a little further. If you are a junior developer, a story teller or a digital artist wanting to realise your idea in a game then this workshop is for you.

REQUIREMENTS: If you want to directly participate, please make sure to bring a laptop with Chrome installed - otherwise, come along and enjoy the show.
