The Works of Art & Design Festival is the largest free, outdoor art and design festival in North America. Since 1986, over six million visitors have experienced more than 14,000 artists and designers in 1,200 exhibits in Edmonton's downtown area.

The theme for the core exhibit at the 2013 Works of Art & Design Festival is Energy III: Human Energy, an exploration of the human body.
