***Cancelled - Medicinal and Edible Plant Walk @ High Bridge, NJ

$25 recommended donation. $40 recommended for families. Join Dan for an insightful walk around the land to demystify the “wall of green” surrounding us. He will teach you to identify many plants revered in the herbal traditions for healing ailments, as well as how to forage for nutritious wild food directly from the land. We will sample the wild plant wonders Nature guides us to, and focus on methods to work with and prepare them. Gain the skills and confidence necessary to utilize and work with the countless organic, fresh, local and free plant resources Nature continually provides.
Please bring a camera and notebook for recording the plants we find.

I'd like to go in this walk, but if I'm called in for work (stagehand) I'll have to cancel.

I'm sorry that you had to cancel, Dan. It's a shame people would rather go to the mall and eat toxic chemicals - under the guise of food - than learn about the medicine and healthy food that is all around us.

I live in Minisink which is quite a distance from you, but if I can make an event that I can't find closer to me, I will! I use to find out what's going on in my area. But do not fret, people with your knowledge and skillset is badly needed everywhere, especially where you are located. I'm trying to transition into organic farming as a career, and like you, I aint got the time to sit around and expect the world to be a better place all by itself! God bless and maybe I'll be able to attend an event down the road

It seems that we will postpone this class for the spring. although i do go out foraging and nature observing each day it seems that the commitment from others is challenged; I understand and sometimes its not the most fun for people to get all frozen. But i just want to let you all know that there is a lot of medicine and food to be gathered even in the snow covered winters. Hopefully we can book another class come spring, please feel free to be in touch. I am continually teaching classes all around the area, and post them on my website @

    as well as

Hope you all are in touch in any way. and look forward to sharing with you soon!
