This group is creating a school in the San Diego area for children ages 4 - 18, based on the Sudbury Valley School model. All those interested in learning more and participating in such a project is welcome! The Sudbury Valley School (www.sudval.org) provides an excellent model for education in the 21st century. It allows each child to become fully who they uniquely are in the context of a working democracy. The students are provided with the milieu to grow, explore and create without the constraints of many other educational systems. As a result they are self-reliant, self-motivated, self-confident, resilient and creative. And they learn the benefits and discipline of democracy first-hand. These are just the type of leaders we need for our future world.
