This event would not have been possible without the hard work and team effort of the members of this group. The caliber of speakers and sponsors is a testament to Donna's impressive network and influence from her years of tireless work on healthcare issues. I wish we had more time with some of the speakers but that just means we have things to build on for future events. I thought the sponsors brought some great information as well. Thanks to them for their support!

MANY thanks to everyone who came in person or watched online, and to the sponsors, speakers, and committee members who made our first event as successful as it was!

I thought this conference was a very good review of ObamaCare's creation of an alphabet soup of new Dictatorships (HHS) and Tyrannies (IPAB, ACOs, etc.). Speakers gave glimpses of the Nazi-like manner in which this bill was SECRETLY constructed by Totalitarian Statists WITHOUT meaningful input from medical professionals.

However, the conference was missing important components that would help citizens fight this evil bill's TYRANNY over medicine & much else. Those missing components were:

1.) an overview summary of WHO constructed this bill and HOW it was partisanly rammed through the Congress,

2.) an overarching, philosophical analysis of why ObamaCare is morally evil due to its many fundamental violations of Individual Rights 3.) a careful, overview, legal discussion on why the bill is unconstitutional.

4.) a presentation and handout listing of all the non-medical "dirty trick" individual rights violations HIDDEN in the bill (e.g., student loan takeover).

It was just a bit too long. Or should have had more intermissions. Got a bit hard for people with back and other problems to be sitting so long. Speakers were excellent, and content was very informative.

This workshop was very informative! I hope that it is online so that I can forward the link to some progressive friends.

The site I referenced above was sent to me and to be honest I wasn't sure which version it was from. I had sent an email to the person, but hadn't heard from them. Thanks for clarifying it for me.

With respect to the Reconciliation Act I do believe that that part of the law is the part that will empower the government to close private, Christian daycares, gradeschools, highschools, and universities that embrace certain beliefs and ethical standards. The way this all comes together is actually quite brilliant in its comprehensive ability to destroy freedom and create a tyranical government.

  • Terry I.

To be honest, I do believe that putting thru the reconciliation act as a "reconcilliation" was a deliberate planned manuever. just my opinion, but as Ive watched this law come to life, and as I've watched all of the subsequent legislation pass that actually are a flushing out of what is in the health care act, I have come to the conclusion that everything that this admistration does is carefully planned and orchestrated.

Thanks Dr. Berg for your comments. I am all too familiar with all 2700 pages. It took three solid days to get thru it. And you are right, it does incorporate many additional statist ideas and controls.

  • Mark J. Berg, M.

    Hi Terry.
There were three versions of "ObamaCare:" HR 3200--1100 pages; HR 3962--1900 pages; and HR 3590--2700 pages. The version you reference was the first. The version that was eventually passed in March 2010 was the longest one--HR 3590 or PPACA.
The first two had very similar boilerplate sections, only with more added in the second bill. PPACA was much different. It incorporated additional statist ideas and controls and was unfinished when passed, requiring a Reconciliation Act (HR4872)

If you recall because it was being pushed as a "revenue" bill it HAD to be a House bill which is why they ended up taking the House bill and gutted the contents and then inserted the senate bill into it's place thereby officially making it a house bill that was passed. Please read this

    September 10, 2011

  • Terry I.

While both bills were very similar, on a gut level I believe there is something very significantly different (and dangerous) that was snuck into the Senate bill and wasn't in the House bill. I don't know what it was but there was a big deal made about being sure it was the Senate version that was passed and not the house bill.

    September 10, 2011

  • Terry I.

Please look at this list carefully. It is a little dated and Im not sure if it refers to Senate bill or House bill and so the pages may be off if it is the House bill, but it does do a pretty good job at outlining ....make that amazing job --- at summerizing Obamacare.
