Lesbian Allsorts

Allsorts is a  social networking group for the Bournemouth and South Coast lesbian and bi women community.

To ensure the continuation of this group and is purely to cover costs of maintaining the website annual fees. 
* From September 2020 we’ve introduced a £5 annual membership fee*
Events will then be open to Full Members only....with the exception of some ticketed events.

All are welcome as members.  You are invited to post events and to attend any of interest. These might include dining out, theatre, cinema, walking or cycling, exhibitions....You name it!.

Follow links on the events page to sign up and attend an event. If you are unable to attend, please remove your name from attendee list in good time before the meet, as accurate numbers help the organisers to confirm numbers for venues.

If you are new to the social scene, or attending an event solo, don't worry. Where possible, we can arrange for someone to meet you at the event to help things along.

Members are reminded that use of the Meet-Up website and participation in events is undertaken at your own risk. Your safety and well-being are your responsibility and the organisers do not accept liability for difficulties arising from use of the site.

Lesbian Allsorts – Terms, Conditions & Code of Conduct

By joining or attending any Lesbian Allsorts event, you agree to the following Terms, Conditions and Code of Conduct.

1. Membership & Eligibility

1.1 Purpose of the Group
Lesbian Allsorts is a specialist social group dedicated to cisgender lesbian and bisexual women.
The group exists to provide a safe, focused social environment for cisgender women (assigned female at birth) who identify as lesbian or bisexual to connect through social activities including meals, nights out, walks and similar events.

1.2 Space Policy
Lesbian Allsorts is not a trans-inclusive space. Individuals who do not meet the membership criteria are respectfully asked to honour the focus of the group and seek alternative communities that better align with their identity.

1.3 Membership Verification
The organisers reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time in order to maintain the integrity, safety and purpose of the group.

2. General Purpose
Lesbian Allsorts aims to host inclusive, friendly and supportive social events.
All members agree to behave in a way that promotes safety, mutual respect and enjoyment for everyone attending.

3. Membership Subscription

3.1 Subscriptions are due on the 1st June every year. As of 1st June 2025 they are £5 per annum. Subscriptions may rise as the cost of being a Meetup group rises. You will be given notification of any increase in Subscription by or on 1st May each year.

3.2 New members are entitled to one free event after joining after that they are expected to pay their subscription before attending any further events.

3.3 Anyone attending two or more events without paying their membership will be removed from the group.

4. Code of Conduct
All members and organisers are expected to adhere to the following standards:

4.1 Respectful Interaction
Members must treat all participants and volunteer organisers with dignity and respect.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation or abusive behaviour—whether verbal, physical or online—will not be tolerated.

4.2 Respect for Volunteer Organisers
Organisers give their time voluntarily to run the group. Abusive language, aggressive conduct or persistent harassment towards organisers will result in disciplinary action.

4.3 Privacy & Confidentiality
Members must not share personal information, screenshots, or private discussions from the group without explicit consent.
Maintaining confidentiality is essential to preserving a safe and trusted environment.

4.4 Responsible Behaviour
Members are expected to behave responsibly at all events:
Drink alcohol within personal limits.
Do not attend events under the influence of illegal drugs.
Behaviour that causes discomfort, risk or disruption due to intoxication will result in removal.

5. Reporting & Complaints
Lesbian Allsorts takes all concerns seriously.

5.1 Reporting Inappropriate Behaviour
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches these terms, contact an organiser via private message as soon as possible.

5.2 Complaints About Organisers
If your concern relates to an organiser, you may report it to an alternative organiser to ensure a fair and impartial review.

5.3 Record Keeping
The organiser team maintains a confidential record of incidents and complaints to ensure consistency, accountability and member safety.

6. Disciplinary Process & Banning
To maintain a safe environment, the following process applies:

6.1 Warning
Minor breaches may result in a private formal warning.

6.2 Removal only
Any member that has failed to login for 12 months or more.
Those members who habitually put their names down for events and don't turn up without a reason.
Any member that has attended two or more events without paying their membership subscription.

6.3 Removal & Permanent Ban
Serious misconduct or repeated breaches — including harassment, threats, intimidation, or behaviour posing a safety risk — may result in immediate removal and a permanent ban from the group.

6.4 Appeals
Banned members may request a review by the full organiser team.
The decision of the organiser team following review is final.

7. Reinstatement Policy
Reinstatement of a banned member is not guaranteed.
Any reinstatement requires:
A formal meeting with the organiser team; and
Unanimous agreement from all organisers.
Reinstatement will only be considered where there is clear accountability and confidence that future compliance with group rules will be maintained.

8. Safety & Liability!

8.1 Personal Responsibility
Lesbian Allsorts is a voluntary social group. Members attend all events — including walks and physical activities — at their own risk.

8.2 No Professional Liability
The group is not a registered business and organisers are not professional guides.
Members are responsible for:
Their own personal safety
Appropriate clothing and equipment
Personal insurance where required
Lesbian Allsorts and its volunteer organisers accept no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in group activities.
