In March of 2011 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I decided to have a bilateral mastectomy three weeks after my diagnosis.

After my surgery I started looking for a support group my spouse and I could attend with other lesbians. I was shocked, surprised and angered that I couldn't find something in the greater Denver metro area.

It's this need for personal support that launches this support group.

If you are interested in sharing your journey with breast cancer in a positive and supportive environment then this group will be of interest to you. This is a social support group for the LGBT community with breast cancer and their families.

Occasionally there will be speakers to educate and support your healing. The reality is we will live longer with support. I intend to live a long and healthy life, I hope you will join me on my journey and share yours with me.
