Portobello West Beach Clean-up

Hi Everyone,

We have teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society, Keep Scotland Beautiful & Edinburgh Council to do a beach clean at Portobello West beach.

Please make your way to the Car Park (next to the beach) at the end of Kings Road in Leith (EH15). We'll be wearing bright yellow tabards so you won't be able to miss us!

We will start at 10.30am and work for 2.5hrs (but any time you can spare at all would be great). Whilst picking litter up we will be logging each item on a list provided by the Marine Conservation Society for their ongoing research.

Tabards, litter pickers and bin bags will be provided, however it would be advisable to bring your own gloves as we are unable to provide these as well.

Please tell as many people as possible about this (they don't have to be group members), we'd really like to help clear-up as much litter as possible in the area so all hands are welcome.

If you have your own clip-boards and pens this would make things easier when logging litter items, but don't be put off if you don't.

Please come and help and if you can't help then please share this event with as many people as possible.
