Originally, for stress management and minimal need for equipment (shoes and you're good to go!) Now I do it for the endorphins, fun, destination race weekends, and setting and meeting goals!
Off and on for years, but seriously for about a year or 2.
Ran the Paris marathon in 2013 (first marathon) but honestly, wasn't sure if I would finish until I did! Now that I know I can do the distance, want to do it faster! Have also done several half marathons like Paris, Course du Soleil (Nice-Monaco) and Amsterdam. Also ages ago in California, ran the SF half and Ave of Giants half.
Yes, I have trained with the running group Paris Fit and ExpaTRIés triathlon team.
Long run pace is maybe 6 min km. 10K pace is[masked]/km, I think.
