The influence of Germanic thinking

This is an informal drinks event to discuss Libertarian theories, recent news and events in general, the state of libertarianism in the various parties and in the culture. To get us started the mysterious and ubiquitous Paul Marks (http://libertarianhome.co.uk/2014/02/thursday-speaker-paul-v-marks/) will talk on the influence of Germanic thinking and historical examples of statism in the UK, specifically that it has worked in the 18th century with Frederick the Great and in the 19th century with Bismark.
