Reason as means to libertarianism

This is an informal drinks event to to discuss Libertarian theories, recent news and events in general, the state of libertarianism in the various parties and in the culture.

To get us started we will be joined this time by David McDonagh. David will eulogise debate and demonstrate it's value as a mutually beneficial trade of ideas and refutations. David will also speak about the Myth of the Closed Mind, both the myth itself and the book of that name by Ray Percival (http://libertarianalliance.wordpress.com/2012/05/09/the-myth-of-the-closed-mind-a-book-by-ray-scott-percival/) and will argue that if we are to achieve liberty in the UK then it will not be because people's minds are made up.

Drinks begin from about 7, though regulars often arrive earlier at their convenience and gather downstairs.

The talk will take place from 8.00 to 8:30.
