True the Vote w Jeff Kelly

Your Hosts: J9 & Joe

Jeff Kelly, head of Colorado Voter Protection, is implementing the national True the Vote initiative.

Jeff will speak to us about what projects he’s working on in CO and the help he needs, especially with HB 13-1303.

About True The Vote:

Unfortunately, Americans have lost faith in the integrity of our nation's election results and fraud and law-breaking has become all too common in our electoral system. True the Vote hopes to change that perception with their citizen-led effort to restore truth, faith, and integrity to our elections.

True the Vote initiatives include:

•Mobilizing and training volunteers who are willing to work as election observers

•Aggressively pursuing fraud reports to ensure prosecution when appropriate

•Providing a support system for our volunteers that includes live and online training, quick reference guides, a call bank to phone in problem reports, information on videotaping at polling places, and security as necessary

•Creating documentaries and instructional videos for use in recruiting and training

•Raising awareness of the problem through strategic outreach efforts including advertising, social networking, media relations, and relational marketing

•Voter registration programs and efforts to validate existing registration lists, including the use of pattern recognition software to detect problem areas

•Reframing the dialogue regarding the existence of election fraud

With CO HB[masked], the “Voter Access and Modernization Act”, we will have our hands full with integrity issues. With the passing of this bill (May 2013), lawmakers made it super-duper easy for almost everyone (except convicted felons who are serving time in prison or are on parole) to vote.

Jeff, head of Colorado Voter Protection, could definitely use some help, so come out to hear what he’s up to and be activated. Bring Your Questions.

Our government was built upon the belief that election results represent the true will of the people and our election processes were always intended to be supported by citizen volunteers. We are helping stop fraud where it can hurt the most – at the polls.

Looking Forward to Seeing You There
