Virtualization Automation

Virtualization Automation

Details

TOPIC:

In order to reduce the time to QA the product while retaining the same or higher quality, we have come up with several initiatives that reduce the turnaround time on defects - as well as reduce the dreaded “Cannot reproduce” results from development. These involve having automated means to create virtual machines, perform some actions, and automatically tearing them down when no longer needed. We use the VIM API provided by VMWare as well as vCenter for sharing images and easy access to ESX servers.
