If you have never used a Linux PC, this is the place to come and learn more. Our focus is teaching others on how easy Linux Distributions are and how well they compare to commercial software.
Come and meet other local enthusiasts to learn more about how to use Linux thier home PC and Laptop.
Our goal is to learn about the everyday essential applications that make our desktops useful to us.
While a lot of our attending users favor Ubuntu, this group is non-distributional, meaning that all distributions of Linux and BSD users are welcome to attend, share and learn.
Our group in not intended for power users. Or those looking to setup Servers / Parallel Processing / Hosting / Web Services ... That stuff requires real in-depth knowledge that is over the head of the average lay-person.
This group is instead for the actual end user. The one that just wants to learn how to get things done and what a Linux Distribution can do for them.
