Welcome to LITTLE SCHOLARS! We are a homeschool group geared for younger children (approximately Pre-K through middle school, although we have no age requirement and siblings are always welcome). What this basically means is that we have morning park days and most of the activities appeal more to younger kids than to teens, but everyone is always welcome and we'll happily add events for older kids if there is a desire. :)

We meet for field trips, craft activities, park days, social activities, a book club, mom's night out and other member initiated events. Our activities are located primarily in the San Francisco, CA - East Bay Area, from Alameda to Fremont, most commonly in the San Leandro, Castro Valley & Hayward areas.

We like to encourage our members to be active and provide feedback on meetup locations and events and to make lots of suggestions. We work hard to make this the support group that homeschoolers need and want.

If you are looking for other Bay Area homeschool families with younger children, or are simply considering homeschooling, please request to join our group! This is the place where homeschooling families can socialize, seek advice, share tips, explore resources and find support.

We embrace diversity and our members may vary in homeschooling styles, religions, political views, family structures, and just about everything else.
