Emma's introduction to this session:
Why Comedy Improv?
Comedy improv within a business development and training context provides a fun, experiential and innovative skill set that can positively develop contemporary business needs:
• communication skills (e.g. sales, marketing, customer facing interactions)
• adaptability
• team skills
• relationship building
• leadership
• creativity and innovation
It's an increasingly popular training practice in the UK and U.S. companies, such as Twitter and Google (amongst others), have been using it for years!
What Will We Do?
This introductory session is where you get to do stuff - no sitting down taking notes or looking at a power point presentation!
It will be a fun, funny, active and participatory session. Firstly, ice-breaker warm-up games where playfulness is encouraged will start the session. This will lead to simple, short and well structured improvised scenes & games (similar to Whose Line is it Anyway) to be played and explored by all. The application of improv principles to your business will be discussed and reflected upon as part of the session.
Who Should Attend?
Are you wanting to:
• increase your sales effectiveness,
• develop better customer relations,
• become more comfortable when presenting,
• build better relationships with staff and associates,
• find new ways to push through creative blocks
- AND have fun in the process.
Then come along and experience how improv benefits your business.

TESTIMONIAL:
"I've loved learning Improv with Emma. I had absolutely no idea what to expect at my first class. But learning to listen to my scene partners and build something together out of nothing has been simply amazing. Taking this into customer relationships where we're solving problems together has been great. I feel so much more confident and relaxed going into meetings now. I'm not a particularly funny person but Improv has given us lots of laughs as well. It's great fun!" (Dr Simon Holgate, CEO & Chief Scientist, Sea Level Research)
