Poetry Brunch - bring a memorized poem!

Having a lazy breakfast at Panera, enjoying a break before or after the errands while chatting and reading poetry is my kind of Saturday morning. When it's warm we will sit outside. I will be there from 10 AM to roughly 12:30 PM. Please join me - even if you are coming later! - for a poetic breakfast!

At one of the recent Poetry Brunches, we've discussed memorizing poems. And quite a few poets could actually recite a poem they've memorized (even as far back as Elementary School). So, we want to put the challenge out there: come to the Brunch with a poem in your heart and share it with us. While desired, knowing a poem by heart is not a prerequisite to join us for Brunch.

Odd, I did not see the group, and I was particularly on the lookout for books on a table or any type of interaction that would identify such a meeting. I was at the right location at the right time. I walked back and forth through every dining section of Panera, several times. And sat for a duration of time in the cushioned chair between the counter and entrance. Since I did not see the meetup group, perhaps the group saw me. I am tall. I had on a black jacket, blank maxi skirt, black boots and covering my hair was a white bandanna. In any case I look forward to meeting you all in the future.

Oh Dear! I'm sorry we missed each other. I was there with Don and Angelika. We were near the window close to where the Chai Tea Latte's come out (my usual). I think of that as the "middle" section of the store - past the tables with the tall chairs, but before the section in back where the bathrooms are. I was wondering if you may have been at a different Panera Bread? We were at the one in Brier Creek near I-540 and US-70:

I see there is also a Walmart nearby, so maybe it was the same one:

I'm the one who usually brings the box of Pulitzers. In any case, I look forward to meeting you next time, Saturday, January 4th ath 10:00 am, Panera Bread at Brier Creek: 7840 Alexander Promenade PI, Raleigh, NC.

I was there alone. I saw no group, no books, no one reciting poetry or anything that made me think that there were other around in search for the same Meet up area within Panetta destination. I even asked one of the store associates if they knew anything about the Living Poetry Meet up Brunch. Her response was that she didn't. I stayed for nearly 40 minutes, left to go to Wal-Mart and came back to the same nothingness.

I didn't go, sorry I should've changed my reply. As for the others, I can't say.

Hi Marcia, very sorry we missed each other. Like Don said I had a poetry anthology on the table with the word POEM in big red letters across the title page. I was there at 9:50 am and we stayed until noon. We would have loved to talk with you. It was only 3 of us. A bit disappointing how many no-shows we had. - Hopefully next time.

The meeting did occur as scheduled. There were books, a box of Pulitzer winners, in fact on the table. We sat in the middle room at the window. If you can email in the future, we could help. It was a great meeting sorry you missed it.
