Tongue & Groove is an open mic hosted and organized by Anna Weaver, Sarah Egan Warren, and Andrew Warren.
Every second Sunday, Raleigh’s local talent gathers to co-create a night of ephemeral art—including poetry, music, storytelling, and the occasional interpretive dance. Anything but comedy (not that you can’t be funny).
Each month, we close the show with a collective poem we call The Dovetail, written during the show by the performers and audience.
We start taking names at 12:30 and make the list by drawing at 12:45. (Performers call out their preferred slots as names are drawn.) Show starts at 1:30. Slots are 7 minutes.
No cover. Beer, soda, and soda water available from Artspace. No cover ever.
Covers welcome. Originals encouraged!
