Afternoon of Open Mic Poetry

More of a poetry in the round, we share our work in a non-amplified setting. While we encourage original material, you may also share with us your favorite authors. Are you just a fan of poetry and spoken word? Come and listen.
The number of poems each participant will read will be determined by the size of the group. Please be prepared to read 1 to 3 poems, or 5 minutes of prose. There will not be any critique of your work unless you ask, but discussion of the subject may happen. Your choice.
Sign-up begins at 2:30pm and reading at 3 until 4:30pm
This free event is sponsored by Raleigh Rec. Raleigh residency is not required.

An Afternoon of Open Mic Poetry hosted by Freshly Brewed Poems aims to be an intra-generational gathering of creatives meeting in a safe and mentoring environment. The monthly event is open to all 18 and above.
