Re: [poetry-566] Narrative Threads: Call for Poets

Hi Sharon,
I would LOVE to participate in this--I have a thing for quilts and have written a short story called Quilting Bee which came out in the Antietam Review a few years back.  Not sure what sort of poetry you want--would it have to do with quilts particularly.  I have one poem which might work from my upcoming chapbook.  Let me know what you would like to see.  What a great idea!
Thanks for thinking of me.
All Best,
Anne

Subject: [poetry-566] Narrative Threads: Call for Poets

Hello, Poets! If you are interested participating in a visual/word
collaboration between writers and art quilters for a show that will be
presented at the Page-Walker Arts Center this coming June, please contact me
for info or send me some samples of your work.  I'll be doing the vetting
for the writers.

The show is Narrative Threads and represents an inquiry into create process,
vision, and voice. We are calling for both poetry and prose writers to
collaborate with members of PAQA-S, The Professional Art Quilt
Alliance-South.  The show goes up on June 24th 2012.

Early in November, tentatively the 14th, we will have a meeting at the
Page-Walker to go over some of the basics and for poets, authors, and
artists to meet each other and begin to form working partnerships.

If you would like to see what some art quilts look like here are a few
sites: http://www.forquiltssake.com, http://www.artquiltersouth.org, and
http://www.artquilters.com.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Sharon
