Welcome!

Strangely enough, the big city of Chicago has no detectable meetup group for people with physical disabilities. Perhaps it's time to correct this. Due to rheumatoid arthritis, I am wheelchair-bound and have very limited physical capabilities. However, I am a graduate student and enjoy life as it is. I invite individuals with various physical disabilities and their caretakers to join this group and help make it a friendly space for the exchange of experiences, discussion of the challenges we face, and networking. We can also adapt this group to individual interests. Possibilities are many!

Finally, please note that the group is entirely open to anyone willing to get to know and interact with people with disabilities. My hope is to create a friendly community, with physically disabled people and otherwise.
