Our next meetup is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24th at 6:45pm at the AOL Ventures space at 770 Broadway (entrance on 9th street).
How do you build a successful location based startup? That's our topic this month that we'll be discussing with Sonar (http://sonar.me), one of NYC's most talked about new startups and a finalists at this year's TechCrunch Disrupt. Sonar (http://sonar.me) is a mobile application that uncovers the hidden connections you share with people nearby. Brett Martin, Sonar's founder and CEO, will be presenting. In addition to talking about building a new startup, Brett will be talking about Sonar's lessons learned regarding real-life social networking and some of the ways that the Sonar team has been thinking building location into their app.
