London AndroidXmas LiveCode #5

Our AndroidXmas LiveCode is coming!

Are you ready for the next LiveCode in London? It’s time to meet new android developers before 2014 and watch Guillem's and Savvas's presentations.

It will take place on December, 16th and will start at 7.30pm.

We'll open with Guillem Vinyals Gangolells and his presentation on GPU Architectures Made Simple.

«In this session, Guillem Vinals from the PowerVR Developer Technology team will give a quick introduction to 3D graphics, an overview of the current mobile GPU architectures and how do they compare to the next-gen consoles and desktop PCs. Also, a part of the presentation will be to highlight why PowerVR is awesome.»

Then we will continue with BDD on Android done right by Savvas Dalkitsis.

«Gwen is a tiny library that facilitates the creation of clean, reusable and maintainable acceptance tests via the creation of a Domain Specific Language which describes the app under test. This live coding session will demonstrate how to create a new acceptance test suite from scratch and introduce concepts like a proper domain model, specification vs implementation and why such things important when dealing with any platform.»

Bring your friends and colleagues and share with us for time the last time this year, in a cool place, a slice of pizza and beers @Badoo place.

Feel free to poke me on Twitter @KtKellyTran if you have any questions ;)

I didn't forget it, here is Guillem's presentation:

He didn't have time to mention it, but you can also have a look to the PVRMonitor ( which is a tool he made to help you to understand what your application is doing from the GPU point of view.

And you can contact him at:

    Enjoy it!

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. I was supposed to return to London this week but it was cancelled.

Kelly is there any change to hangout the presentation? You have to organize a similar event for welcoming year 2014 :-)
