COMPULSORY Q: Why do you want to join? (if faith/religion bothers you, what aspects in particular? (Helps us tailor activities to your concerns (within our remit of "peacefully promote reason/atheism")). Pls write as much or as little as you like.

religion!!! unjustified and unconditional believe in things without ever questioning them ...

Where did you hear about us?

I moved here from other London Atheist group once that split

(You're welcome as a social or even a silent member, & there's absolutely no pressure - but would you want to be involved (at some stage) in actively challenging faith in any way? Petitions, leafleting etc, or something else?

Depends... I don't believe in opposing religious ideas in an extreme manner because based on my personal experience it only creates a feeling of hatred amongst the devote followers of an specific religion and instead of liberating them from it will more encourage them into it! So I more support less direct methods and more charitable and support work for religion leavers. things such as community building. I am already involved in providing support and community building for exMuslims through this group : which I have founded and currently am one of its organizers. After all I believe people need to be given time to gradually change their belief system without causing any hatred and hard feelings in them and its not an easy thing, not everybody are ultimately capable of changing the beliefs they have grown up with. I think we just need to facilitate and create an environment for people to have the ability to leave religion if they want to...

If so, what kind of issues are most emotive for you? What kind of activism do you prefer - humourous/cheeky or more direct? Any other ideas you'd like to share at the moment?

Depends... I usually am humorous and think its more effective however shall need be I can be very serious...

A "mankind" from Iran - were the fate of its people is taken out of their hands by religionists - I have seen, experienced and felt the disastrous effect of religion (specially Islam) on people minds and lives and I came clean of it ...
