Welcome English teachers of London

Come on, Get active: I want to combine all of our groups and members to form a London EOT 'collective' where students can talk to teachers and be taught by them, and teachers can earn good hourly rates and keep all of the course fees themselves...so cheap, effective, fun and sustainable English courses using free public spaces in London.

In our three EOT groups (conversation, taught lessons and teachers) we have 165 students and 35 teachers.

That is a small English school.

We have 180 students being taught EOT in London this summer by a teacher, Steve Jackson.

English Out There is a bit like the EFL/ESL equivalent of flash-mobbing, but with very sound pedagogic principles behind it! The three main things we can achieve are:
1) Better wages for teachers i.e. match what they earn now and make it easy to take it up to a 'proper' hourly rate.
2) Smaller classes
3) Cheaper quality courses for students
Currently, the way schools work, a combination of those three things is impossible.

Languages Out There (using Meetup.com) really think we can help get you earning some extra money teaching in London and maybe even help you to become part or, in time, fully self-employed but without any of the usual problems associated with starting up on your own (premises, student recruitment, taking bookings and payments, scheduling classes etc.).
