London Historical Fiction Book Group - The Winter Palace

Just a quick message to everyone who so far has said they're coming to discuss "The Winter Palace" in a fortnight's time (3 June).

A reminder, if you can, to select a short passage from the book that you either enjoyed or thought was badly written. We're going to try to see how the discussion goes if we make it a little bit more text-based. So, everyone will read out their chosen passage (it need only be a few sentences or short paragraph) and say why they chose it and we'll then discuss it.

Hopefully, you're about to start reading the book or are in the process of doing so. So just something to bear in mind as you're going along.

Don't worry if you forget. You can still join in the discussion!

Looking forward to seeing you two weeks tomorrow. Anyone coming to our social tomorrow evening, for which you can still RSVP and come along!

PS. I set up a poll to choose our July book - you should have received the email about that on Friday. If not, let me know or visit the site for more details. Please everyone vote on that when you have a chance.
