Indiemeet's Midweek Extrameet

For those of us who struggle to make it at weekends we’re now running a monthly midweek evening session: the Indiemeet Midweek Extrameet!

For the first couple of sessions, St Christopher's was booked, so we were at The Horseshoe. Now St Christopher's is free again so we return to the dungeon!

Being in the evening we’ll obviously not have enough time to run two sessions, but otherwise the format will be exactly the same. Turn up, pitch and play.

How it works: Come along for 6.30pm and meet folk in the main bar. At 7.00pm we head downstairs and everyone who is going to run something pitches what it is they will run, up to how many players can be accommodated, and what the game is about.

It might be GM led or it might be more of a story game with the expectation that everyone contribute equally. When this is complete, everyone says what it is they want to play. Your group then grabs a table and starts playing!

The slot finishes by around[masked]pm, we stay for a chat and then out by 11.00pm.

Want to pitch for the first time at Indiemeet? We want to help: We love members stepping forward to pitch the games they love. If it’s your first time pitching at Indiemeet then tell a host and we’ll try to fill that game first.

Newcomers Choice: We love to welcome new people to the meetup. So, if it’s your first visit to London Indiemeet, then we’ll ask you what you want to play and make sure that runs.

Thanks to all of those who came, especially David for his first Indiemeet and Ross for finally coming back for his second!

    Games Played
Fiasco - Alan +2 in Alan's own medieval fantasy court politics playset

Fiasco - Richard +2 in the DC72 playset.

In a Wicked Age - Tom +5. Never have I played in a game where someone wanted to "go berserk and hit the slaver with a baby". Last night was my first.

Sorry guys, looks like I accidentally double-booked myself for today, but I'll definitely be at next month's midweek meet.

I'll pitch either Dead Man Talking, or my entry in this year's Game Chef, All That Glitters. Links below: Dead Man Talking: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44973653/DMT.pdf

Next on my gaming bucket list will be 'In a Wicked Age'. However, I'll bow out of that to make sure any newbies get to pitch or play the game they want to.

Is there a theme for this meet-up Tom, or is it just turn up and pitch stuff?

    • Tom P.

Nope, nothing specific. All your usual Indiemeet gaming goodness, just one session rather than two.

We're growing! We started out with eight and went up to 12 last time. Let's try and make it up to 16 this time!

And just a reminder that we're back at St Christopher's this time, now that the Dungeon's available again.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
