Summer may be nearly over but LOPUG is back! Our September meetup has some great speakers lined up, as well as the usual drinks, pizza and fun. For this event we've got 2 presentations:

Rolling out Docker to production on 3000 servers

Containers are everywhere and this talk will provide an ultimate guide on how to roll out Docker in production on any cloud provider or on your own server.

Khash will outline how to build, deploy and maintain containers with the use of 10 tools to offer an end to end solution for the entire stack and to offer support to thousands of developers and small to medium size companies.

Introduction to WSO2 Private PaaS 4.1.0

The WSO2 Private PaaS was recognised as one of the three popular alternatives to Cloud Foundry in Forrester's most recent report. Private PaaS enables the use of the WSO2 Middleware Platform in Private Cloud deployments along with any number of other products and applications that require scalability.

This talk will discuss the architecture of WSO2 Private PaaS which is based on Apache Stratos and Google Kubernetes. We will learn about its support for Docker, and its rich feature-set including autoscaling, cloud-bursting and monitoring. WSO2 Private PaaS also features a Composite Application Model (CAM) which will also be explained in this talk. This enables automated dependency management, group/dependent scaling and includes features targetting distribution of artifacts and sharing metadata.
