Alban Hefin (Summer Solstice Ritual)

Welcome to the 1st ritual of the Oak Druid Order (ODO).

We will meet at the Greenwich Picturehouse Cinema at 2.30pm since there are 3 stations in the Greenwich Area.

We will proceed to the venue by foot to Maidenstone Hill and go up the path leading to the summit. It's not a well-known location but is believed to have been a sacred place to the early druids and there is speculation that where we are holding the ceremony once had a stone circle on it.

Please bring food and drink to share for the picnic.

We salute the power of star and stone,

We salute the power of land and sea,

We declare that all be Fair and Free,

We hereby welcome you to this Ritual of Alban Hefin,

In this Sacred Space of the Grove,

We have come from East and West,

We have come from North and South,

We gather here together today to salute the four directions.

Let us take the three breaths of life,

May we be at one with the Earth beneath us,

May we be at one with the Sky above us,

May we be at one with the Sea around us.

With the the blessings of Earth, Sea and Sky may our ceremony begin!
