Thanks to those who made it out to our first session for 2014. For those
who have missed it, we had a great dojo with some fun and engaging
problems. We've re-started weekly meetings, every Thursday, working
through Ch2 and 3 of SICP until the Spring. Don't be afraid to join in
if you've missed a session. We're a pretty friendly group and it's easy
to drop in and out as your schedule requires - just do some background
reading in the book and come ready to learn.
I announced at the end of the last session that Michael Detmold (cc-ed)
has been organizing SICP courses in 2013, along with other comp sci
courses in Clojure. He's putting together a platform for developer
education as a social activity, and I really believe in what he's
doing. From what I've heard, his 2013 courses were fantastic, and he's
expanding things this year. If you're interested in taking part,
please do reach out to him or check out his startup's website at
Feel free to email me or this list any SICP-related questions, and I
hope to see you all at the next meetup on Thu 23 July.
