LSUG April meetup

We are proud to be able to host Karl Scotland as presenter at the April meetup of the London Scrum User Group!

Karl will be giving us an overview of 'Kanban System Design':

Large-scale software and systems development involves a complex mix of people, teams, technologies, skills, architectures, and organisational structures that must all interact for projects to reach their goals. However, many organisations struggle to scale up agile approaches for their various programs, products, and services. Karl Scotland introduces a process model for designing a contextually appropriate Kanban system for complex and large-scale development. Karl will show you how to design a custom Kanban system by studying the current development process, reaching an initial system understanding, sharing that understanding, putting limits in place, sensing how the system is performing, and continually learning from the system to guide improvements.

You can find a short bio on Karl here.

An interesting take on Kanban. It was nice to get some fresh theory over-and-above the usual. The speaker has clearly thought long and hard about the topic and it was great to hear his thoughts. Given more time, I would like to have delved more deeply into how to apply some of the theories.

Is there likely to be an increase in the number of attendee spots on this meetup ?

Well, as long as people who sign up actually turn up, then it's a good thing it's so popular right? :)

Apologies, the waiting list is now open. We'll likely open up this meetup to more people once we are closer to the actual meetup - but the actual number will depend on our capacity.
