Some of the UK’s top samba and soca bands, accompanied by beautiful, costumed dancers and weird and wonderful carnival creations, showcase a selection of the very best of UK carnival arts and artistry.

We will take a leisurely stroll along the Thames to enjoy the various festival activities followed by a Silent Meditation at an appropriate point along our walk. There will be plenty of time to stop and chat, grab a bite to eat and a cuppa. We will eventually make our way towards the Oxo Tower where the Carnival will take place.

There are all sorts of wonderful events and activities during the day all along the Thames for us to enjoy. The Carnival will be in full flow and is best seen when dark from 6.30pm - 10.00 pm.

I have been to the annual Thames Festival several times and it really is a great day out.

If you enjoy photography then be sure to bring your camera along. There is a photography competition with some great prizes.
