Free Spiritual Gathering and Picnic- Bring & Share at Highgate Wood

London Spiritual Community Picnic & Gathering on 18th May

Spring is with us now and it's time to celebrate with a FREE Community Gathering at Highgate Woods. North London's very own ancient woodland.

Spring Gathering

Highgate Wood is 28 hectares of ancient woodland. It is a haven for wildlife and provides numerous easily accessible and scenic woodland trails. The Sports Ground, located in an opening in the Wood, provides a picturesque and rural backdrop, as well as top quality turf. There is an excellent playground, a renowned café, an information hut with booklets, newsletters and trail guides and well maintained toilet facilities.

We are going to have a wonderful chilled afternoon with time to bond, play, meditate and for the musicians amongst us Play Music, for the Singers amongst us Sing Songs, perhaps we can all find our voice, for some chanting :-)

We Welcome drums, singing bowls, Native American Flutes, Rattles , if you play it and can carry it please do bring it along to share the beauty of music. Frisbees, Crayons, Sketching pads, bring it all and lets have some fun.

Oh and last of all don't forget to bring a PICNIC and perhaps something to share too. We love to share :-)

Got any Spiritual/Personal Development books that are surplus to requirements ? Why not bring a book or two along and be part of our Book Swap. A great opportunity to share and swap a book that you have read or perhaps its one that is just not working for you.

In the event of Non Picnic Weather - Plan B Walk

Group walk, enjoying one another's company followed by a restaurant or pub lunch stop. You will need to dress appropriately , waterproofs, brollies, silly hats, big smiles and BIG sense of humour ! Money for Food and/or refreshments. There is a great pizzeria nearby ! Part of the walk will be in silence enjoying the sounds of nature.

How much is it ?

We are organising this gathering as a Spring Gift to our beautiful members. All you need to bring is a picnic, something to share and a big smile. In the event of bad weather our plan b walk, you will need to bring Money for Food.

Where are we meeting ?

Please aim to be early or on time as we will be moving on from the meetup location and it may be difficult to locate us later in the day.

Tube: Take the Northern Line to Highgate (Barnet branch) and walk five minutes on Muswell Hill Road. Queens Wood and Highgate Wood are on opposite sides of the road.

Bus: Take the 43 or 134 and alight at Highgate Wood bus stop or walk down Muswell Hill Road and Queens Wood is on your right.

Donation Collection for our Homeless Walks

Hey all. We are offering this gathering Free as a gift to our members although there will be an opportunity to show your support for our charitable work with London's Homeless.

We are collecting monetary donations to purchase urgent items required for our Homeless Walks in London. We are also asking our members to donate/recycle any unused yoga mats for our next homeless walk. Yoga mats are ideal as they are lightweight and can provide a sleeping surface with protection from cold/damp floors on the streets.

Hi all.

We are going to be having a fantastic and chilled out afternoon in the woods and we will also be collecting donations for our Homeless Walks so hope to raise some funds on the day.

I know some people have asked if they can offer healing on the day which will be great and we hope to find a suitable area for this. If you would like to offer healing on the day we request that you offer it on a donation basis for our Homeless Walks. If you are interested in taking part and if you are a qualified healer please fill in our Volunteer Healer Application so that we know what you are offering and that you are qualified. Please note we will not be endorsing the healing at all but we just want to ensure that those who are offering healing at our picnic are qualified to do so.
