Get a Grip on Git + App Demos

Git - Background & Basics + How you can use it in your teams/projects
We are going to cover the GIT revision control system this evening. The evening will allow newbies and experienced users to get more out GIT, exploring the basics and how you can work with it in your day to day projects, be you a freelance or team developer.
We will also take the opportunity to review some Titanium specific Github projects and current integration that the IDE and platform has with GIT.
This evening will be of interest to new/intermediate developers whether you use the Titanium Platform or not. All developers welcome.
Speakers:
Joe Lee will cover the basics of GIT, what we need to know to get started, then give us an overview of how we can use GIT within the Titanium landscape, including Studio integration and existing open source Ti related projects.
Joe Lee's day job involves working on web applications for Thomson Reuters writing "Enterprise" JavaScript with previous distractions in PHP, .net C# and database stuff. In his spare time he hacks around with API's and Titanium.
Abizer Nasir will take us through a more detailed look at GIT and some functions of the system that will prove valuable in our individual or group projects.
Abizer Nasir is an Independent Mac OS and iOS developer based in London.
He dumped SVN for Git in 2008 and hasn't looked back since. He blogs intermittently about Git at http://365git.tumblr.com , and about programming and life at http://abizern.org
App Demos
We will be hosting a max of 4 App Demo sessions on the night, if you are interested in showing your app to the group, contact Joe Lee or Ket Majmudar. You will be able to sign up on the night if there are slots free. I encourage those with apps in development or those that have not done a demo before to step up.
