CV FREQS - Creative Saturday / Ghost in the Shell / Live Scoring / Open Jam

The Foundry Collective, Unit 2, Woodward Buildings, 1 Victoria Rd, North Acton, London W3 6FA, London, GB

The CV FREQS community had such an amazing time at The Foundry Collective last month, and we've been invited back there on Sat 14th November 2pm-11pm, as part of a Creative Saturday mini-festival with two other great communities: New Media London and Algorave!

From creative workshops and collaborative filmmaking to live film scoring and audiovisual performances, we're bringing together visual artists, filmmakers, live coders, modular synth musicians, creators and curious minds for a day of making, sharing and connecting.

Tickets via Luma are required for entry to the workshops and live scoring at 3pm. From 8pm (free!) the stage will open up for live collaborations and an open jam. Sign-ups on this meetup page will just be for 8pm onwards to manage tables, etc.

You must purchase a ticket here for the first part: https://luma.com/fk74v9v4?utm_source=cv-freqs-meetup

For the open AV jam, bring your modular rack, semi-modular, synths, drum machines, and DIY gear. We'll have extension leads and audio cables to hook up to the main soundboard, but don't forget your headphones! Everyone at all levels is welcomed and this event is open to those who are not into modular (yet!).

    Programme
    14:00 - Doors Open
Come in, meet fellow creatives and get ready for an afternoon of experimentation.

14:30 - 15:00 - Building Your Instagram Profile as an Artist
Workshop with CHΛU - New Media London

    15:15 - 16:00 - Collaboration Stop Motion x TouchDesigner
Creative workshop with Emma Rose Harvey

Explore the intersection of analogue creativity and digital art in this hands-on, collaborative workshop!

Participants will collectively create a stop-motion animation using paper cut-outs, shapes, magazine clippings and other materials. Each person will contribute small changes to an evolving composition, with every stage captured through photography.

The resulting images will then be brought to life in TouchDesigner, transformed into an experimental film with layered visual effects and potentially interactive elements responding to sound or movement.

No prior experience needed - just curiosity and a willingness to experiment!

    15:15 - 16:00 - Interactive Demo - TSR-1
    Interactive installation by STEREA

Experience TSR-1, an interactive audiovisual system developed by STEREA that lets you control music using your hands, with real-time visuals responding to your movements and projected onto the walls.
Previously showcased as a public installation at Starving Billionaires, Grey Space in The Hague, TSR-1 invites audiences to explore the connection between movement, sound and visuals.
Join STEREA for a live demonstration and get hands-on with the system!
