First-rate speakers made for tough choices when picking talks. One problem with such condensed and engaging events is the audience shows signs of attention burn-out before the last speakers talk.

I must mention Nick Wynja who showed us how to move video from a live news event using an iPhone, the proper app and very little else. Nick performed his magic at the recent Olympics. But Nick brought more than cool gear, Nick brought Nick. It takes a Nick to bring all these components together.

PodCamp was amazing (again). I really appreciate living in a community with so many bright, inspired individuals. Congratulations to the organizers -- you should be really proud of a fabulous event that facilitates education, collaboration, change and fun.

First-rate speakers made this a not-to-be-missed event. One picked talks to attend carefully as often it was a tough choice whether one went to this talk or that one. The problem with events as condensed and engaging as this is the audience can show signs of attention burn-out before the last speakers talk. One speaker I simply must mention is Nick Wynja and his talk on moving news video from a live news event using an iPhone, the proper app and a little, very little, extra gear. Nick knows his topic. He performed his magic at the recent Olympics in Vancouver. But Nick brought more than cool gear, Nick brought Nick. The hardware and software was cool, creative and a bit complex, but what brings all the components together is someone with Nicks rich mix of talents. I think the company behind the Apple iPod app shown by Nick would agree with my assessment as Nick is leaving London for Vancouver to work with and for the company producing the software Nick showed at PodCamp.
